Welcome to a blog post about Spiritwish spirits. I’ll be covering each spirit and my personal rating for them in both PvP and PvE content. Needless to say – this should NOT be used as a bible. My analysis is based on my understanding of the game combined with personal opinion. If you feel that I am way off the mark, please leave a comment and we can discuss how and why. Without further ado – let’s begin with an overview of each Spirit.
Spirits can equip gear of their rarity level. Only your leader character receives the stats of the equipped gear.
Spirits
Spirit PvP Tier List
The legend for this tier list is as follows:
S – Amazing go-to picks better than everything under it
A – Good picks but the spirits in the tier above are better
B – Decent pick but not the best
C – Pretty bad picks but at least do something or fill a niche
D – Garbage
Explanation
S Tier
- Easy to upgrade because of christmas event dungeon / world boss
- Freeze immobilizes the enemy and interrupts casting
- Synergizes very well with Frost Mage
- “When attacked” not too reliable chance to proc unless enemy has fast ASPD
- Guaranteed to fire off in a PvP match and remove a debuff from your team
- Not percent chance based
- Safe and reliable defensive pick
- Big brain comp destroyer pick (Take off ward, twilight tempo, etc)
- Guaranteed to fire off in a PvP match
- Safe and reliable offensive pick
A Tier
- Stun immobilizes enemies / interrupts casting
- Main downside is that it is percent chance based
- “When attacking” pairs well with units with high ASPD (DW, Merc, Viking, etc)
- Guaranteed ATK increase to enemies
- Percent based so the stronger your hero the more damage the increase
- Only downside is that it does not provide utility like the other spirits
B Tier
- On proc can burst down / CC the enemy first for a quick cheese win
- Not reliable
- Not too effective in current bruiser / damage mitigation meta
C Tier
- Percent chance based, not reliable to proc
- “When attacked” not as effective when facing caster based teams
- When slept enemies are attacked they wake up
- The only upside to this is that it at least immobilizes them and interrupts enemy skills
- Not very effective damage mitigation
- Does not give much utility value
- Not reliable to proc in a battle
- Almost useless imo but at least makes some niche heroes less potent (DW, Mercenary, Viking)
D Tier
- Not applicable in PvP
- Not very useful imo
- Not applicable in PvP
- Not likely to have any impact in PvP
- DEF gained will not have much of an impact EXCEPT for niche situations
- Unfortunately tank is not very meta – can foresee this to be bumped up a tier or two later in the future
- Tanks get more mileage from this spirit / some characters use DEF to calculate damage
Spirit PvE Tier List
The legend for this tier list is as follows:
S – Amazing go-to picks better than everything under it
A – Good picks but the spirits in the tier above are better
B – Decent pick but not the best
C – Pretty bad picks but at least do something or fill a niche
D – Garbage
Explanation
S Tier
- A guaranteed attack boost which sees amazing value when paired with Runesinger Archer
- Over time the effects of this spirit will reduce your skill cooldowns by a lot when training
- Effectiveness goes up when at a higher spawn area
- Ranged monsters help with proccing this spirit more often
A Tier
- Easy to upgrade due to christmas dungeon and world boss
- Synergizes well with frost mage
- Helps CC monsters – more effective in higher level areas
- CC’s monsters – more effective in higher level areas
- Proc chance higher when using high ASPD character
- Only downside is that it is a chance to proc
- High level monsters can CC including freeze, stun, etc
- Reliable debuff removal that is not chance based
B Tier
- More useful early on when you don’t have your skills maxed
- Percentage based so not quite reliable
- Not very impactful
- DEF doesn’t do much but still has impact in niche situations / characters
- Can be utilized by tanks to do additional damage
- In current content so far not very good but at least guaranteed removing a monster’s buff
- More for later in the game – can foresee this being more useful for future content
C Tier
- Not very impactful in terms of utility / survivability, other spirits can do those jobs better
- At least decreases attack speed by a fair amount at higher levels
- In PvE doesn’t matter much about how fast your skills come out
- Percent chance based, not reliable to proc
- “When attacked” effective when facing ranged monsters
- When slept monsters are attacked they wake up
- The only upside to this is that it at least immobilizes them until you get to them
D Tier
- Not applicable in PvE
- Not applicable in PvE
For PvP build Santa, Vaki or Haltija. For PvE build Ahava or Kirkkonvaki.
Once again, this is my personal opinion on spirits for both PvE and PvP. If you feel anything is way off mark then please comment down below and we can have a discussion about it. I’m willing to change anything in here given sound reasoning and explanation. The meta will always be changing so this will be updated in the future when additional content / spirits come out. Thanks you for your time in reading~
